New Field Construction

The best way to build an athletic field is to specify the use of Turface during the construction phase. Incorporating the proper amount of Turface into the top 6" will create a field that will perform for years without the severe compaction and drainage issues so often seen. The addition of Turface will also make it much easier to maintain a healthy turf stand. Below are some photos showing the application of Turface MVP during field construction. Once all of the Turface has been applied, it will be tilled into the soil 4-6" deep.

DryJect

Many athletic fields are made using existing native soils. It doesn't take long for these soils to become compacted because of use. This creates drainage issues and also makes it almost impossible to maintain a healthy turf. Replacing the field is usually not an option and extremely costly. Aeration only offers a very short term solution.

With the introduction of DryJect, you can now help to reduce these problems without spending a fortune. The system uses a blast of water to make a 3-4" hole. Then the DryJect machine injects Turface Field & Fairway into the hole. The Field & Fairway will wick the excess water away, making the field playable much quicker.

Drill & Fill

The most effective way to introduce Turface into the soil profile is using the Drill & Fill system. This is a unique piece of equipment that drills holes up to 12" deep on 7-1/2" centers. Once the holes are drilled, Turface Pro League or MVP is injected. Although more costly than the DryJect system, it will apply more than twice the amount of Turface, helping to change the soil profile up to 12" deep.

Verti-Quake

Verti-Quake is brand new technology designed to relieve drainage issues that arise from soil compaction. The Verti-Quake machine below is making 3/16” slits, 12” deep, around 10” apart. This allows excess water to drain through the soil profile.
