Soil Testing

Whether you’re a Lawn Care Professional, Sports Turf Manager, homeowner, etc – testing your soil is a necessary and for some, mandatory task.

Testing your soil allows you to see specifically where your soil is high or low in certain nutrients thus aiding in applying the correct ammendments at the proper rates.

We offer several different testing options: (All samples are sent to an outside agency for testing)

S1 (Lawn) – Tests for Organic Matter, Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, pH and includes a lime & fertility recommendation.

S3 (Garden) – Same as S1 plus tests for Zinc, Manganese, Iron, Copper, Sulfur and Boron.

You can also request testing for Soluble Salts, Soil Texture, Lead and Nematodes.

Prices vary depending on which test you choose. Please contact one of our representatives for more information.

How To Take A Soil Sample

Using a soil probe, push the probe into the soil to a depth of 4-6 inches and sample in a zig-zag pattern.

Using a shovel or spade, dig a V-shaped hole to the sample depth, then cut a thin slice as shown in the picture below.
